Lieutenant A. C. McCoy
We have to announce the death at North Adelaide on April 5 of Lieutenant Arthur Charles McCoy, aged twenty-seven years, youngest son of Captain Alexander McCoy, The deceased was formerly in the Mounted rifles of the V.M..F, and on December 5, 1885, was appointed a lieutenant of the Port Cavalry, now constituting B Troop of the Lancers, a detachment formed of Sergeant-Major Heming. At the time of his death he was on the retired list (effective). Lieutenant McCoy was a Civil servant, having been employed in the Survey Department. He was much liked by all his fellow-officers and comrades, who honouted the remains with military funeral. Deceased had been in ill-health since Christmas.
